Just last month Youtube announced auto-captioning technology that will be added to all English speaking videos.

The latest feature allows algorithms to parse words within videos and transform the words into captions — speech-to-text.

This technology feature only is available in English speaking videos however that does not prevent those English videos to be translation into other languages.

This amazing technology breakthrough will benefit SMB. This will open up the door way to promote small to medium business videos. SMB will now be able to reach out to the hearing impaired, not to mention the fact that it makes videos index with searchable text and brings new avenues for education and marketing.

According to comScore more than 174 million U.S. internet users watched 28.1 billion videos online in the month of February, 2010.
