IPAD Takes Wings – Innovative Businesses Reach Out to iPad Hungry Consumers

The IPAD is the latest piece of technology that everyone is wanting.

Now companies are finding ways to use that craving to help incite customers to do business with them.

With that in mind JetStar Airways, a subsidiary of the Australian airline Qantas, which recently announced plans to roll out new Apple iPad for in-flight entertainment. Passagers will have a small fee less than $10.00 to gain access to this innovative product.

Commuters on Jetstar will be able to access movies, music, TV shows, games and e-books as part of the in-flight entertainment system for the airline. Because of security concerns, passengers will not be able to browse the Internet or peruse their own content, such as email, at least for the first phase of the project.

This major customer service is already catching on quick various hotels. JetStar’s project comes after a number of boutique hotels, including the Gem Hotels in SoHo and Chelsea, as well as luxury chains like InterContinental, Westin and Ritz Carlton, have begun providing iPads for hotel guests in the lobby.

According to Apple about two million iPads have been sold since the product launch in April 2010. The IPAD went on sale in countries outside of the US last week.

How can your small business use consumer demand to enhance your business?
